As the amount of drinking water In Israel decreases rapidly its quality diminishes as well. Fresh drinking water is highly important for the welfare of Israel and its citizens; however, in many western countries as well in Israel the standard for water quality is dropping rapidly. The quality of water is not seen as an important issue because many facilities worry about maintenance costs, and liability its employees face while they handle hazardous microbes found in drinking water. Therefore, a new system of water purification is needed.
Hence, one of Israel's top company Atlantium comes announces its technological advancement in disinfecting water. Atlantium is illustrating to the world its advancement and intellectual strength by using a remarkable new method of UV light to disinfect large amounts of water to a level of quality never reached before by any method in the world.

What makes this Israeli company the leader in the world arena is its ability to disinfect water to a level of quality unheard of and plus for a price that is compatible to any current disinfecting method out there today. The most common method of disinfection which is used in more then 50% of the world market is the use of chemical agents ( chlorine ) to kill biological agents. This method is in wide use, but its faults outweigh its pros because this method of disinfection kills certain bacteria only to create other dangerous bacteria such as carcinogenic and crypotosporidium.
The second method of disinfection is not as common as the first. This method of disinfection is microfiltration. Microfiltration is a method that blocks bacteria from entering the area of purified water. This method is effective in disinfecting water and reaching a level of quality that is above the world standard. However, its cost of maintenance and the cost of running this procedure is a waste. The cost of this method is so high because the filter system needs to be replaced often and requires a high level of energy that makes this water treatment unattractive.
The third most popular method of water treatment is UV light. The UV light does not kill the bacteria but rather causes it to be infertile making the bacteria unable to reproduce. Plus, UV light is environmentally safe, and requires little energy. However, UV light is found to have problems such as the problem of UV lamps. The UV lamps are placed under water causing the UV rays to be unequally distributed and the amount of bacteria reached by the UV light decreases. Also, cleaning the UV system causes the live bacteria to spread to other areas.
However, Atlantium is proposing new technology that places them as the new leaders of water invention. Atlantium has developed a UV system that puts the UV light outside the water. This system reaches its desired level of disinfection by using quartz tube as its reactor and bombards the flowing water with homogeneous dosages of UV radiation. This new technology solves the problem with the old UV system because the quartz reach every drop of water effectively. Atlantium's advancement solves the problems faced with the previous system as well solving the high heating problem caused by the UV lights.

Atlantium displayed the results of various tests conducted with the newly developed UV system. The results illustrated that the UV system is able to infect various microbes, spores, and other bacteria causing the water to be a better quality. The test also illustrated that only one in 10,000,000 organisms escaped inactivation. These results combined with the fact that this system disinfects 1 million gallons of water a day while consuming only 2.5 kWh.
This new system is taking the world by storm and putting Israel right in the center. This break through in water technology will bring in world recognition, money, and most importantly world allies in my opinion because Atlantium has already made numerous contacts with counties such as Spain Germany and China.
This new technology helps Israel in many ways because it will help the government disinfect millions of gallons a water that is either polluted by humans or by natural means. This technology can help disinfect large amounts of water which in turn can help Israelis live a life that is at a standard that mirrors its technological genius.
